Heidi.......Santo?!?!?!

That's right folks! We are temporarily adopting little Heidi while Caitlin and Sharon are in Australia. Michaela is thrilled, I am thrilled, and Jon is....well, let's just say, that he is thrilled I promised to do all the poop scooping! So come July 21, Heidi is an honorary Santo. (Newt and Nosy are less then thrilled I'm sure). Oh well.

Too young to be embarrassed.....I Hope!

Yes, Michaela is almost fully toilet trained. She still wears a diaper to bed, and when we go out, but at home she always uses the toilet, and now she doesn't even need the step-stool, or the training seat.

What a Pair!

Michaela loves her bike. She especially loves it when Daddy pushes her super fast!

Tea Party

This was the first tea party Missie ever had with her dolls. I was working in another room, and I became suspicious as I usually do when things get too quiet (it usually means Michaela's getting into trouble). I came out to find her in the kitchen chatting away quietly as you see here. It was very cute. The green teddy bear was the gift I bought her on her first Christmas, while I was still pregnant. The large doll in the front, in Michaela's PJ's, was the doll her grandma bought her when she was about 5 months old after seeing her reaction to an old Cabbage Patch Doll lying around. At the time the doll was the same size as Michaela!

Our Little Fish

One of many firsts this summer. Here is Michaela swimming on her own with only the help of her water wings. This picture was taken the day after we bought them for her, and we were amazed at how quickly she caught on to them. And now, she's taking them off and making short swims from the stairs to me and back again.

Yummy Summer Days

Here's Missie enjoying her first watermellon of the summer at a BBQ at Rick and Donna's.

Freedom

I painted this picture, and titled it "Freedom" in honor of Rick's retirement. It was our gift to him. It was a lot of fun to paint (thanks for the lessons Jodi).

I Know How Rick's Saturdays Will Go From Now On.

Uncle Rick's kids and Auntie Donna went in together and bought him an amazing set of golf clubs. I just hope he doesn't rope Jon into the game. I never pictured myself as a golfer's wife.

Grandma

There's no one quite like Grandma! No one makes Michaela laugh like her.

SURPRISE!!!

Boy was Uncle Rick surprised. It was a great party in celebration of a wonderful teacher and a wonderful career. Well done Uncle Rick.

Silly Grandpa!

Grandpa can always find ways to keep Michaela entertained, even when we're trying to keep quiet to surprise Uncle Rick.

Looking Good!

For those who weren't there, we had a surprise retirement party for Uncle Rick. It was a great success. This picture of Jon and I is one of my favorites.
