So, this wasn't any ordinary sugaring off. Jon's uncle Gilles actually started the machines going and produced that entire barrel of maple syrup. The whole sugar shack was humid and smelled of delicious maple syrup. We were even able to take home a few jars. It was great.

That looks like so much fun! I'll bet you won't wait another ten years to go back.
I wish I had some French-speaking sugar-makers in my family line...do you KNOW the price of maple syrup over here?!
Also, how much French do you speak with Michaela? Kids are supposed to be amazing with languages, I'm not surrprised she was able to communicate just fine!
