For quite a while now, I've been trying to understand what the birthmark on Michaela's right leg refers to...

Placed on it's side, the symbols become clear. Obviously, the birthmarks refer to three key symbols. The first is a T-Rex's mouth. The second is a geographical map of Africa during the Cretaceous period while the last symbol is the same during the Pliocene.
Obviously, what Michaela's birthmark is trying to say is that while it was previously thought that Tyrannosaurus Rex went extinct 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period, it turns out that they continued to rule most of Africa (and India) until well into the Pliocene (2.4 million years ago).
This finding will revolutionize the field of paleontology. It's not terribly often that one as young as three years old has such a profound impact on any field. With this is mind, I can only wait to see what Michaela does once she's entered academia (if she so chooses, of course...).
Lastly, if anybody has an alternative explanation I look forward to receiving it but I find it hard to believe that anyone will be able to come up with a better explanation.

I can honestly say that I have never seen anything quite like this. What an amazing discovery. Ernst Mayr is rolling in his grave.
Jon, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but I do think you might possibly be stretching the evidence slightly, and perhaps even beginning with faulty assumptions, an unfortunate result of your otherwise charming obsession with dinosaurs. If we consider the possibility that, being a Princess, Michaela's symbols may carry some sort of prophetic message, it would be my humble suggestion that you consider moving your research into the field of Jungian symbolism relating to the collective human unconscious. Either that, or watch that movie again - what was it called? (My own particular share of our collective unconscious has unfortunately sprung a leak again.)
Now I remember, Willow. Remember that one? By the way, I think your post is hilarious!
Thanks guys,
I'll admit to this, I have a couple alternate theories queued to be posted over the next week...
Stay tuned!
Oh, and Josh, I was going to mention this: There are similar interpretations of Ernst Mayr's liver spots. I'm surprised that you were not aware of these. ;)
