Ah! Nature

Michaela has this delightfully annoying ability of turning a 5 minute walk home from the bus stop, into a 30 minute stroll, in which she picks and blows every dandelion, finds every single bug, examines every ant hill, picks up every stick, and yet somehow can't seem to notice any one of the many piles of dog poo before stepping in them. Thankfully, that is the ONLY thing I am looking for, so I've gotten pretty good at warning her in time! Michaela has redefined the term "doddling". Ah, but I love to see her enjoying nature, and the wonders that it holds.

On a completely different topic......where are those gerbil name suggestions!? So far only Josh and Mom have come up with any. Josh came up with the names "Peek" and "Boo", which we thought were very cute. And Mom's very witty suggestions were, well, to quote her, "You could call them Geraldine and Wilhelmina. Well, that's a mouthful for a 2-year-old, so you could shorten it to Gerry and Billy, or how about Ger and Bill." Very cute as well. So, if you don't feel creative enough to compete against these suggestions, then at least put your vote in for which you like better. Thanks. Let's not keep those poor gerbils in nameless limbo much longer!

Gerbil name suggestions: Charlotte and Emily (Bronte sisters); Simone (de Beauvoir) and Sylvia (Plath); Alice (in wonderland) and Dorothy (of Oz);
Disco Dharma and Lemonade Greg (I once had fish with these names, and trust me, they were very cool fish...)

Thanks for the suggestions Sharon. Funny....my first idea was Charlotte and Emily. Great minds think alike.

That's really amazing, Sharon and Cara. My first thought was also the Bronte sisters. I probably would have suggested it, too, except my memory being what it is, I was struggling to remember if there were two or three Bronte sisters. So not being sure, I didn't submit that entry. So I think my vote would be for Charlotte and Emily. Nice names, too!

You're right Mom, there actually are three Bronte sister; Charlotte, Emily and Anne. But of those I like the frist two the best.

I didn't mention Anne because I prefer the other two names too!

Hey, Sharon asked me for suggestions and I told her to send in Fester and Boil. It doesn't look like she did though...
